The Del Monte Healthy Kids(tm) line of "fortified canned fruit for children" has been introduced in the USA by Del Monte Foods.
Literature states, "With the introduction of Del Monte Healthy Kids(tm) canned fruit, children can now enjoy class Fruit Cocktail for a nourishing snack or dessert with the added nutritional value that will help them to live healthier lives."
The line also includes Enriched Peach Chunks in a 15 oz. can. Touted as "the first fortified canned fruit product," they are said to be preservative free and fortified with vitamins A, C and calcium.
Rainbow Rice is developed based on the Five Colour Principle described in TCM. The five colours (red, green, white, yellow and black) are said to affect the five important organs in the human constituent (heart, liver, lung, spleen and kidney). Therefore, eating food from various colours will provide one with a balanced diet and ample nutrients for one's needs. The Rainbow Rice developed uses multi-grains and is more tasty and fragrant than plain brown rice. It is rich in protein and dietary fibre but low in sodium, making it an ideal healthy food product for the health conscious individual of all ages. This is a new chilled dessert. The product name is derived from doro [very thick] and rich. This dessert is a mix of crushed coffee jelly and cream.
It is produced using a unique method (patent pending) to creat a sensational mouthfeel. It is consumed using a straw specially designed (patent pending) for this product.
Teochew Yam Paste is a traditional dish made by steaming yams, mashing and then sweetening to form the dessert which resembles yam dough. It is often served with gingko seeds. This dessert contains fried onion oil to give it a nice fragrance.
It is pretty a laborious job to prepare this dish. But not now, since this can now be bought from Choon Chuan Food Supply, who are retailers and wholesalers of the popular desert!
